New stuff; Rocna, Lofrans, Lewmar, Gebo, speakers and handrail

The boat got new stuff added this summer. It went for a "spa" at Walsted boatyard.

Two new Lewmar portlights for the cockpit.
These where chosen due to their size. I had first looked at Gebo as all the rest is Gebo on the boat but they didn't fit the space between the instruments and the side of the boat but Lewmar are good as weel i think
View from cockpit with the new portlights.

The portlights where an idea i got due to the bad ventilation when coking in the galley. And with these two i get both ventilation and light.

Portlight over the navstation.
The front Gebo hatch where changed to a new one Gebo also. Due to the old hatch had to get a new window in and the cost of this compared to get a new hatch wasn't that much so a new one was chosen. It has a better opening system for open and closing the hatch and for ventilation. The hinges hold the hatch open in all position as the old only had three.

Gebo front hatch new.
From the inside nice clear window.
The window with the new closing system.
Steel braising in front of cocking station. Weird it hasn't been born with it i think it is because the boat wasn't born with a oven.

Braising in front of oven.
Handrail and clothes rack for wet rain gear in the head.

Hand real on top of the toilet.
Speakers Monocor, in the cockpit. Always nice with a bit of music when sailing.

Two speakers.
"birds nest" in the cockpit for all kinds of stuff handheld VHF, cellphone etc. really nice. I really don't understand that not all boats are born with this!!!

Birds nest port side cockpit.
Rocna anchor 15 and Lofrans Royal windlass.

Fitting a Rocna anchor 15 kg. for the boat with 50 meters of  8 mm. anchor chain and a Lofrans Royal windlass.

Anchor system front top with hatch closed
The Lofrans Royal manual windlass where build in on a shelf so that you don't crash in to it under sail at night. Manual where chosen because i think the boat isn't big enough for a electric. With and electric you have to run big wires to the engine to get enough power to windlass and The lido don't have that. You properly could find it but i chose not to.

Anchor weel open.

New rigg and genua

I just got the old running rigg renewed over the winter with new wire and bronze turnbuckles. The new rigg where made by Thomas Stolz really god service can only recommend the work.

The old rigg was gone. 30 years is just what the rigg can take on a Bianca Lido.

After cleaning the old turnbuckles they had a lot of movement. 1 mm each side.
New wire and turnbukles SB side.

New backstay shorter 100 mm then the old and its still urn almost all the way down.

The new genua is nice and it reacts god with the boat. I can get the close to 30 dgr. in headwinds :)

Genua from Hoj Jensen sails.

Lokk at the bend of the forestay!! Its right thight.

De stepping the mast

De stepping the mast for inspection and winter storage. We usely do take the mast down every winter to chck it and take the boat out of the water. This year the boat stays in the sea but the mast has to come of for som minor work.

I just begin with taking the instruments off before using the crane to take so i don't smash them in the process.

De mounting of the instruments: wind, windex and VHF
Good to be more then two people to de steeping the mast. I have good friends that help :)

Loosening all the turnbuckles.

Turnbuckle teamwork.

Disconnecting the mast electronics inside the boat.
Him self in the mast. Good tip is to attach the crane a bit over the balance point.
Attaching the crane.

Preparing the crane for the big lift.

Again placing the hook for the crane.
All the halyards has bin taken out for washing. the mast has been washed and preped with Hempel Alu protcect. Ready for inspection by Stolz Riggerservice
